From industry leading daily fantasy sports site, to emergent sports betting powerhouse, and most recently, online casino operator, DraftKings has its hand in everything. One of the biggest brands in all of U.S. iGaming launched its first blackjack game in the New Jersey market back in 2018, and has since added slots, tables, and Live Dealer games from top providers.
DraftKings Casino is available in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
DraftKings also offers mobile sports betting in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, West Virginia, Indiana, Iowa, and Colorado.

DraftKings supports online sports betting and DFS wagering in many U.S. markets, but its online casino vertical is restricted to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
DraftKings NJ is partnered with Resorts Casino in Atlantic City for both sports betting and casino gaming, while it has partnered with Hollywood Casino at Penn National for online gambling in PA, and Meadows Racetrack for sports betting. In WV, DraftKings is partnered with Penn National Gaming (Hollywood Casino).
Michigan: DraftKings Online Casino will also debut in Michigan in the near future.
As other states legalize iGaming, we have little doubt that DraftKings will aggressively push to become a fixture of these markets.
When DraftKings first debuted blackjack in late 2018, it signified a massive departure for the company, which had for nearly a decade prior focused exclusively on sports.
At first, the online casino felt more like a sportsbook add-on than a legitimate operation. That changed quickly, as today, DraftKings Casino offers more than 300 games on desktop and mobile to NJ players, and has begun replicating that effort in PA.
Exclusive titles, extremely good payout tables on blackjack and video poker, and slots from top providers are highlights of the game lobby, while the cashier offers players enough depositing methods to get by. Also strong is the site’s welcome package, which features a risk-free component where players who lose up to $200 on their first go-round will have those funds replenished by DK.
Still, the site isn’t without its major shortcomings. Namely, the lack of a loyalty program is frustrating, and while DraftKings Casino does boast some cool software features, the current interface doesn’t really fit, and is also prone to slowdown.
DraftKings is a legal and regulated online casino in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with oversight provided by the NJDGE and PGBC, respectively. These are the same regulatory bodies that provide guidance for brick and mortar operations in their states.
DraftKings is a promotion-heavy online casino with many offers available on any given day. Customers should visit DraftKings Casino to see all the latest offers.
The standard DraftKings Casino bonus offers 100% up to $250 to all new customers. New users can claim this bonus by signing up for an account and making their first deposit. In return, DraftKings will match their first deposit with an equal amount in DK Dollars, which can be used to play casino games and win real money.

The ability to register an account with ease is paramount, and here we feel DraftKings largely delivers.
New players can sign up either via desktop or mobile. On desktop, getting started is as simple as navigating to DraftKings Sportsbook from any updated browser, or by using one of the links found on this page, and selecting “Sign Me Up.”
On mobile, you’re going to want to download the site’s app first. Both Android and Apple users can accomplish this by navigating to DraftKings on their mobile browser, selecting which app they want, and then downloading and installing the package. Apple users also have the option to download the app from the App Store.
The registration process entails providing the following info:
Once this info passes a mandatory security check, you’ll be good to go. If there’s an issue, you may have to upload additional documentation, like a government issued ID, to proceed.
Note that while you only have to be 18+ in most states to participate in DFS contests, the legal gambling age in NJ and PA is 21, and you must be at least this old to gamble for real-money at DraftKings Casino.
In addition, if you are on a self-exclusion list, or are a key casino employee, you won’t be able to register. Nor will you be able to create multiple accounts. This will cause your primary account to be locked immediately.
Players can register their DraftKings Casino account from just about anywhere, and they don’t have to hold residence in either NJ or PA to play, but they do have to be physically located in one of those two states to wager real-money.
DraftKings has been successfully processing payments in the United States for years upon years, so it knows a thing or two about facilitating the transfer of funds.
But that’s not to say DraftKings is the best place to conduct business, as the selection of depositing options is rather average, and the turnaround times on withdrawals could be faster.
Sure, you’ll be able to get your money on and off the site without too much hassle, but with other regulated online casinos finding more ways to speed up transactions with each passing year, DK has some work to do.
USGambling.com recommends the following depositing options:
Online banking: DK accepts checking account payments from over 1,000 different banks, including popular ones like Capital One, Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and PNC Bank. It also provides players with a secure login portal to their bank when conducting transactions.
Credit/debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are all accepted, but acceptance rates will vary. A few years ago, players had next to no success depositing with cards, but the situation has improved as credit card companies have become more acceptant of online gambling. Still a bit of a long shot though.
It should be noted that DFS players may be shocked by the low acceptance rates, as credit card companies tend to be much more amenable to DFS transactions.
PayPal: This method is one of our favorites, mainly because so many customers already have a personal PayPal account. And for those that don’t, firing one up and loading it is a straightforward process. You won’t even need a PayPal balance to make a DraftKings deposit, just link a debit card or checking account.
DraftKings Play+: It seems that every legal U.S. online casino has its own branded pre-paid card these days, and DraftKings is no exception. Players can sign up for Play+ directly through the DraftKings site, and once approved, can fund the card via ACH, credit/debit, or other options. You won’t even need the physical card to make deposits, although when it does come in the mail, you’ll be able to use it wherever Discover is accepted, and at ATM machines.
Other depositing options include:
Couple of notes here:
While not an area of deep concern, getting paid by DraftKings isn’t as smooth as it could be.
Withdrawal methods include:
However, DraftKings will pretty much always withdraw funds back to the same vehicle that was used for deposits, up to the amount of your net deposit. For instance, if you used PayPal to deposit $100, and want to cash out $200, $100 will go back to your PayPal account, and the other $100 can be withdrawn using any other method.
Ok, that’s not too bad. The withdrawal turnaround times, on the other hand, are a problem. If you’re lucky, you’ll receive your funds within 2-3 business days, which is acceptable, but often it’ll take up to a week, with checks by mail taking as long as three weeks.
That’s just too long, relative to industry standards.
As far as game quantity goes, DraftKings is middle of the road in NJ, with over 300 games on desktop and mobile. In Pennsylvania, the numbers are much lower, clocking in at just around 30. However, DK has adapted an aggressive expansion policy, and we do expect these numbers to grow precipitously in the coming days.
In terms of game quality, DraftKings surprises… in a good way. Many of its blackjack and video poker games offer incredibly good rules; so good, that players will likely be able to hold on to their bankrolls much longer. Slot returns aren’t half-bad either, as many of DK’s providers offer games with returns of 96% or higher.
Given the brand’s notoriously high rake on DFS contests, and its often less than ideal pricing on sports, this came as a bit of a shock. Yes, playing casino games on DraftKings is a pretty good bet.
DraftKings has partnered with multiple top slot providers in New Jersey including Big Time Gaming, NetEnt, and IGT to deliver a solid gaming experience. However, you’re not going to find anything really unique here, as just about every NJ online casino offers the same games (and in some cases, many more). But to DK’s credit, it is a newer site, and has expanded its penny slot selection about as fast as anyone we’re tracked.
Popular slots include, Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin, 88 Fortunes, Cleopatra, the old-school favorite Double Diamond, and Siberian Storm. A good number of slot games at DraftKings Casino can also be found on brick and mortar casino floors.
There are some notable absentees, including the extremely popular Divine Fortune progressive slot. What’s worse is that there are no exclusive titles.
In the Pennsylvanian market, the slot lobby is still very sparse, with just 26 games, mostly provided by IGT. There’s no reason to believe that figure won’t swell in the near future.
Sorry Pennsylvania players, you’re out of luck, as DraftKings Casino doesn’t offer Live Dealer games yet. DK really isn’t at a disadvantage here, as not a single PA online casino currently supports live-online hybrid games.
For those in NJ, the prospects are better. At DraftKings, Live Dealer games are supplied by top provider Evolution Gaming, which provides a superior platform compared to its sole competitor in NJ, Ezugi.
Not to mention, the game selection isn’t half bad:
Worth noting, its that Live Dealer Blackjack players can also enjoy a variety of side bets, including 21+3 and Any Pair, but the house edge on these is rather lofty.
One final word: We don’t like the fact that minimum bet sizes at traditional Live Dealer Blackjack tables is $30, and as high as $100 at some tables. That’s rough, and even higher than what most land-based casinos set as their minimum thresholds for entry.
Again, the selection here is much better in NJ than PA, where there is only a single version of baccarat, blackjack, and roulette.
Table games are a highlight in NJ, where DraftKings supports just about every mainstay of casino floors.
Its exclusive DraftKings Blackjack, which comes in multiple skins but is effectively all the same game, is a real treat, with extremely player-friendly rules like splits up to four hands, double downs on any two cards, and forcing the dealer to stand on all 17s. It has a theoretical expected payback of 99.62%, which to our knowledge is better than just about any blackjack game on the market. The game’s sharp aesthetic and seamless flow round out this terrific product.
DraftKings also supports three exclusive roulette games, which all look and feel great. However, DraftKings Basketball Roulette and DraftKings Roulette American are inferior to DraftKings Roulette European, as the latter only displays one zero on the wheel.
The site also supports multiple third-party blackjack and roulette games, none of which are particularly unique, but have their charms. If you’re looking to play multiple hands at once, Multihand Blackjack is a safe bet, while Blackjack Xchange has a nuance built in where players can get rid of one of their cards. Catch is they’ll get paid to toss a good card and will have to pay to dump a bad one.
For carnival games and other cutesy games, DraftKings Casino has gone with SG Digital as its provider. Players can enjoy:
The sole exception here is that IGT is the supplier of the site’s Three Card Poker game.
Beyond that there are a scattering of variety games, which we guess could be classified as table games. An example would be DJ Wild Stud Poker.
Both the PA and NJ markets saw DraftKings Casino roll-out a suite of nine video poker games, ranging from ones with mild volatility like Jacks or Better and Bonus Poker, to crazy games like Deuces Wild and Triple Double Bonus. What’s nice is that all of these games feature optimal or near-optimal payout tables and full 800 coin payouts on Royal Flushes despite the bet amount.
Unfortunately there are no multi-hand options. Players aren’t going to find popular game variations like Ultimate X or Dream Card either.
In NJ, DraftKings also offers flash versions of Jacks or Better and Double Double Bonus Poker. These are both 9/6 games (which are good for the player), but we do expect them to get phased out shortly.
When it comes to the DraftKings Casino platform, there’s both a lot to praise and a lot to criticize.
First, the positives. The app is extremely easy to set up. That’s primarily because there is only one app to download for mobile devices. The app, which is available for Apple and Android, encompasses both the sportsbook and the casino – daily fantasy players will have to download a separate application.
The real cool thing here is that players won’t have to download different apps for different markets. Instead DraftKings will customize what you see based on where you were geolocated. In other words, there isn’t a separate DraftKings NJ and DraftKings PA app, just a singular DraftKings Sportsbook and Casino app. We thought this was a clever way to reduce scaling issues as more states legalize online sports betting and casino gaming.
It also means users don’t have to memorize 10 different website names.
Another nice touch is that players will share a wallet between the sportsbook and the casino, across all markets. This stands in contrast to sites like Play SugarHouse, where there are separate PA and NJ balances. Of course, the drawback here is that players can only enjoy one set of welcome bonuses.
The app is also available on desktop via any modern browser, including Safari for Mac.
The downside of all this is that when you aren’t in a state with legalized sports betting/casino, or don’t have location services turned on, the site acts funny, and it can sometimes be difficult to view the different lobbies.
As for the interface, it’s a mixed bag. On desktop, games are sorted into categories, but players can never view more than five games from a given category at once. Instead, they’ll have to click through to find a game of their liking. There is also no search feature, which is a huge oversight.
The software is often slow, with geolocation taking longer than it needs to, and the lobby lacks that lightning fast responsiveness we’ve grown accustomed to on other sites. Aesthetically, the site is really nothing to look at, with a drab gray background and no banners. It is clean, so there’s that.
Account management features are pretty limited as well, and we’re really not fans of how DraftKings displays deposit icons in several prominent places on the site but buries the withdrawal button.
The mobile layout is even worse. We’d even go as far as to label it a bit of a disaster. Sure, it’s fast enough and allows players to demo games, which is nice, but geolocation is slow, finding games is a chore due to the lack of filtering options, the app lags horribly at times, and the mobile layout just doesn’t do a good job of replicating the desktop version of the site.
Unfortunately, no. DraftKings has not implemented a loyalty program for either its online sportsbook or casino.
It does support one for Daily Fantasy Sports, however. There, players can climb the loyalty ranks by participating in real-money contests, and will earn increasing lucrative rewards such as tickets to DFS contests, DK dollars, crowns (which can be redeemed in the DKShop for contest tickets, apparel, and other merchandise) and mystery rewards.
We’re hoping DK does something similar for casino and sportsbook players, as players deserve some sort of kickback for their loyalty.
Customer support options are pretty limited on DraftKings Casino.
Players can’t call support directly. Instead, they’ll have to fill out a form detailing their issue before requesting a call back. There’s also a form to fill out if you want to receive an email. There is no Live Chat option.
On the plus side, support is available 24/7, and in our experience, they were very quick to respond, even during peak hours. The reps we encountered were well-spoken, knowledgeable of the site, and able to help us with some tricky issues. It’s just too bad there’s no direct line to them.
